It’s a wonderful day to be the CEO of an amazing company
B.J. Emerson, left center, joins me and the team at McGraw-Hill to celebrate the release of The Tasti D-Lite Way.
Friday was officially “Tasti D-Lite Day” in New York City as Tasti D-Lite celebrated both its 25th birthday and the release of the new book I co-authored with Tasti D-Lite VP of Technology B.J. Emerson, The Tasti D-Lite Way.
We gave Tasti D-Lite fans another reason to celebrate: 25-cent small cups and cones, which were offered at Tasti stores nationwide. We also crowned our “Biggest Tasti Fan” — Callie Schweitzer, who chose her New York City apartment specifically because it was next to a Tasti D-Lite.
The celebration continues all month, with a special birthday cake flavor offered at all our stores.
Most important, we plan to harness all of the energy and enthusiasm from our birthday celebration to support a great cause. We’re raising money this month for Go4theGoal, a charity focused on pediatric cancer research and family support programs. With customers’ help, we hope to raise at least $25,000 for the organization. On Friday, we made an initial donation of $2,500.
Here are some more photos from our birthday party at the Columbus Circle location in Manhattan:
Tasti D-Lite Chief Operating Office Peter Holt hands a check for $2,500 to Go4theGoal. The donation from Tasti D-Lite is the downpayment on a $25,000 pledge to the charity, which funds pediatric cancer research. Tasti customers will have the chance to donate to the charity throughout September.
Tasti D-Lite founder Celeste Carlesimo joined us for the celebration.
